My Background
I have a M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwest University, and a B.A. in Horticulture from the University of Nebraska. I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Washington (license number #LH61480016) and Ohio (#E.2505274).
My journey toward becoming a therapist was deeply influenced by my own struggles related to being a PDAer, Highly Sensitive Person (HSP) and experiencing religious trauma and anxiety. In order to care for myself while providing the best possible care for others, I place importance on my own mental wellness and go to therapy as well.
Outside of therapy, I love being outdoors- whether it’s a quiet hike, the crisp air of fall (my favorite season), or leaning fully into the magic of Halloween. I live with my husband- who, like me, is neurodivergent- and our relationship has taught me a lot about communication, self-compassion, and honoring differences with care. At home, you’ll usually find us cooking something cozy, tending to our ever-growing jungle of houseplants, or hanging out with our pup Mochi and our cat Hazel June (the real boss of the house). :)
